Plain-language answers to common questions and crochet abbreviations.
The page says “read-only”
Your trial or subscription may have ended, or the account may be suspended. Open the Access and Subscription cards in the workspace. Your projects are normally still visible even when editing is disabled.
A stitch cannot be placed
Check that you are in Row 4 or later, that a diagonal anchor stays inside the chart and that there is no drop-down stitch directly below in the previous row. The Checks panel names the exact problem.
A motif is clipped
Motifs may be placed partly beyond an edge. Out-of-bounds stitches are intentionally removed. Move the placement point inward if you need the complete motif.
The PDF button is disabled
Export requires editing access. If access is active, fix construction errors shown in Checks. Email verification alone does not block a trial PDF.
My latest change is missing
Wait until the top bar says “Saved” before leaving the editor. If it says “Not saved”, check the connection and reload only after noting the unsaved change.
Common abbreviations
BBS/EBS are the beginning and ending border stitches. sc BLO is single crochet through the back loop only. DDC is a straight drop-down double crochet. DDC-L and DDC-R are the Design2Pattern diagonal variants with a left or right anchor.
